Its so nice to meet you, I'm Annika! I am originally from Finland but have lived in the Sonoran Desert since the age of 10. ​I have spent the last four years raising my two beautiful (and wild!) children who are the loves of my life. Prior to that, I spent my career building Customer Success organizations in the tech space and loved the way that we could shape experience through the eyes of the customer.

I have so much gratitude for the game of Mahjong. It has brought me close to my gal pal tribe and the Mahjong community in a way I never thought was possible. It is relaxing yet energizing, challenging yet social. Whether you're up for little mental escape, playing for fun, or for community, Mahjong has a way of giving you exactly what you need.

Hi. I'm Laura. A Phoenix native who spent 20 years living, studying, and building my career across the country before finding my way home to raise my family. Returning to the Valley has been one of the greatest gifts of my life. There is something incredibly special about this community, and being back has made me want to reconnect, contribute, and be truly involved.

Mahjong came into my life during a busy season as a working mom of two, and it quickly became a joyful outlet; a mix of strategy, creativity, connection, and calm. What surprised me most was how naturally it brought people together. Around the tiles, conversations open, laughter shows up, and friendships form.

I started teaching because I wanted to share that feeling with others here in Phoenix. Our classes are welcoming, modern, and designed for anyone who wants to learn something new while connecting with great people in our community.
